SHIANA - Karen Hill Tribe Silver, Thailand
"Shiana works with local artisans in remote regions of South East Asia to bring our customers handcrafted jewelry and jewelry elements.
With origins in the mountainous regions of Thailand, we were and still are a family owned and operated company that works closely with the original Karen tribal silversmiths. What was once a rare skill set known only by a few villagers in 1973 became a booming cottage industry that provided Karen Hilltribe Silver to the world.
Our online store opened in 1999 and our nameless company was registered as Shiana LLC. The name ‘Shiana’ came from the imagination of two sisters Pam Thien and Angie Thien — who still own and operate the business……."
